We are currently seeking an FP&A Analyst. In this role, you will assist with enterprise-wide modeling and analysis for the organization and support the M&A and Finance teams. The ideal candidate for this position combines a keen eye for data analysis, financial understanding, and strong teamwork and communication skills.

 

Your day-to-day

  • Compare results with budgets and forecasts and perform a variance analysis to explain performance differences and identify opportunities for future improvements.
  • Produce insightful and analytical comments and reports to support decision-making by financial and non-financial stakeholders.
  • Follow a month-end process. Prepare monthly reports for internal business units and the corporate team, and perform validation checks.
  • Serve as a key financial analyst for departments and assist them in preparing their forecasts, budgets, and various analyses.
  • Consolidate large amounts of information into an overall budget or forecast.
  • Manage the collection of information from various systems or different individuals within a large organization.
  • Maintain reporting templates in accordance with changes to the chart of accounts and other requirements.
  • Improve and monitor KPIs and business metrics. Create useful executive-level reports and keep metrics up to date with the various business units.
  • Assist in developing and preparing monthly and quarterly documents and comments for business reviews, discussions with executives, presentations to the board of directors, etc.
  • Assist with ad hoc financial analysis, modeling, and special projects, such as preparing internal reports for executives and supporting their decision-making.
  • Provide ongoing support to the M&A team and the CFO in preparing various financial requests, including investor relations presentations, fundraising activities, due diligence, grant applications, and other strategic corporate initiatives.

Your qualifications

  • Excellent Excel skills
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and the ability to present data in a visually organized manner
  • Ability to learn and use information systems (e.g., SAP, Salesforce, etc.)
  • Experience with data visualization software is a plus (Tableau, PowerBI, PowerQuery, etc.)
  • Advanced troubleshooting and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team under tight deadlines and pressure
  • Bilingual (spoken French and English) with strong verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, a related field, or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience in financial or operational analysis
  • Knowledge of NetSuite is a significant asset
