Our Sales and Marketing team is currently looking for a candidate to fill the position of Corporate Event Specialist. Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager, the incumbent will perform a variety of tasks centered around corporate event planning.

Your day-to-day

Event Planning:

  • Coordinate and organize participation in tradeshows and industry events.
  • Plan and organize customer events to enhance customer engagement and loyalty.
  • Source, evaluate, and secure event venues, including negotiating contracts and conducting site inspections, when possible.
  • Manage comprehensive event logistics, encompassing catering, audio-visual (AV) requirements, floor plans, staging, and seating arrangements.
  • Develop and oversee detailed event timelines, run-of-show documents, and production schedules to ensure seamless execution.
  • Serve as the primary on-site point of contact during events, directing setup, teardown, and real-time troubleshooting.
  • Manage all internal and external communications around corporate events (invitations, follow-ups, social posts, website updates).
  • Review travel, accommodation, and itineraries for internal staff, speakers, and VIP guests.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external vendors, suppliers and venues, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
  • Source branded merchandise, giveaways and corporate gifts.
  • Track budgets, invoices and payments to vendors. Forecast and estimate budget for future events.
  • Guide internal teams to capture images and video at events for various communication
  • Conduct post-event evaluations, including attendee feedback surveys, ROI analysis, and internal debriefs to measure success and identify areas for improvement.

General Marketing Support:

  • Work closely with the Marketing Manager and sales team.
  • Liaise with internal team to ensure website content is current and engaging.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions for marketing campaign development.
  • All other related tasks.

What we are looking for

  • University degree in communications, marketing, or a related discipline.
  • 3 to 5 years experience in relevant field
  • Proven track record of successful large-scale event planning
  • Fluently bilingual (English and French)
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Suite and Canva
  • Experience in the television, mobile, or tech industry (an asset)
