Your day-to-day
- Creative vision and content strategy
- In collaboration with the Product team, establish the vision and drive the overall aesthetic for each FAST channel, ensuring all of them feature high-quality and visually compelling content.
- Collaborate with the Content Acquisition team to source and select footage, curating the best visuals for each channel’s theme.
- Work closely with music programming team to conceptualize programming blocks that match footage with complementary soundtracks.
- Video production and process management
- Direct and oversee external content suppliers and video production resources to capture visual content that meets Stingray’s product guidelines.
- Edit, colour correct, and assemble footage into programming blocks, ensuring smooth transitions, consistent pacing, and an overall polished final product.
- Establish clear pre-production, production, and post-production processes and checklists.
- Contribute to organizing and managing Stingray’s FAST content video asset bank.
- Content verification and quality control
- Assess the quality of any new content and ensure that it meets Stingray’s highest standards.
- Account for all technical specifications of various streaming platforms.
- Leadership and collaboration
- Work closely with Content, Product, and Creative teams to align production goals and deadlines.
- Be the go-to resources for all FAST channel video production needs.
Your qualifications
- 6-8 years’ experience in TV, video, broadcast, and/or streaming content production.
- Expertise in all stages of production, from pre to post.
- Strong judgement and decision-making abilities with the capacity to balance creative aspirations with practical production limitations.
- Keen eye for detail and visual aesthetic, with the ability to shape and execute a cohesive visual style across multiple channels.
- Fluency in video production processes and technical requirements, including camera operations and Adobe Suite editing software. Experience directing DOPs is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills, proactive, and quick learning abilities.
- Strong ability to lead and inspire video production teams and collaborate seamlessly with other departments.
- Ability to define priorities and pivot quickly, balancing creative demands, client expectations, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to assess and manage content production budgets.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate ideas and provide feedback.
- A team player who thrives in working with cross-functional teams, including internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficient in both English and French.
