We are currently looking for an Afternoon Personality to join our Vancouver and Edmonton teams! This position reports to the Brand and Content Leader, Adult Contemporary

The Breeze brings More Music, More Variety to listeners in BC, Alberta and Nova Scotia.  The Breeze plays songs you know and love.  We’re audio comfort food – but with a definite pulse.  We’re here to make people feel good – people come to us so that they can feel better.

The Breeze has a unique opportunity for a personality to share that positive attitude as part of our network of afternoon shows.  Based in either Vancouver or Edmonton, this individual is someone who understands how to connect with an audience who loves the music as much as we do.  You understand that this isn’t just a music choice – it’s a lifestyle.  And connecting with our audience means you’re authentic…. Your day-to-day

  • Host the afternoon (3-7pm) show Monday – Friday
  • Additional VT shifts as required
  • Executing on-air contests and engaging with listeners
  • Make personal/promotional appearances on behalf of the show/station in the community
  • Co-manage social media platforms before and during your show
  • Editing and maintaining music logs using Music Master CS
  • Co-manage social media platforms before and during your show

Your qualifications

  • 3-5 years on air experience minimum
  • Ability to relate, and speak, to the 25-49 target demographic
  • Knowledge and appreciation for Vancouver and Edmonton, and the lifestyle of each city
  • Upbeat, calm and natural personality.
  • Creative, timely and up-to-date on current events – but you also understand that real life makes great radio.
  • Great team player
  • Great with listeners and clients
  • Experience with Music Master or similar music scheduling software
  • Above average phone and production skills.
