We are currently looking for a Media Sales Strategist to join our Kentville team and cover the Annapolis Valley area! This position reports to the Retail Sales Manager for Rewind 89.3/Kentville. .

Stingray offers one of the most robust multimedia platforms for businesses to market and sell their products and services, locally, nationally or globally. Our ideal candidate has a strong multimedia marketing and sales background, and has demonstrated the ability to manage and grow an active client list, while understanding the importance of a team mentality with a desire to be part of the fabric of the community.

Located in the beautiful Annapolis Valley, which is considered one of the most distinctive regions of Nova Scotia along the Bay of Fundy.  It’s known as the Agricultural heartland of the province with popular apple orchards, wineries, and a vibrant local food scene.  Other economic drivers are Military employment, tourism, and small business/local manufacturing.  Kentville is conveniently just over an hour away from Halifax.

Your day-to-day

  • Be a local sales leader of Rewind 89.3, a Classic Hits format, Stingray-owned radio station.  You will have the opportunity to harness the power of this popular station while also representing all Stingray Radio Stations from Vancouver to St. John’s, unlocking vast sales potential across a nationwide network.
  • Leverage a diverse range of media solutions including radio, programmatic display, programmatic video, connected TV, digital out-of-home, YouTube, search, social, and our proprietary retail media platform – to help clients grow and succeed.
  • Own the full sales process from lead generation and prospecting to client needs analysis, solution presentation, negotiation, and closing.
  • Drive revenue growth and achieve revenue targets through consultative sales and development of strategic proposals.  Manage and grow your client base while identifying new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (promotions, programming, creative, production, digital campaign managers) to deliver impactful, multi-platform advertising campaigns.
  • Help handle the administrative responsibilities of the Kentville Sales Department, including building client/station proposals; coordinating the remote booking process/wrap-up reports (for both local and national opportunities); and representing the stations at client and community partner events.

Your qualifications

  • You have 2+ years of in-person, consultative sales or account management experience (experience in multi-media advertising or digital media is a plus).
  • Ability to self-manage, proven high-achieving performer in all facets of life with a track record of consistently achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • You are comfortable building ground-up ideas and presenting your strategies to business owners and operators.
  • You are an excellent communicator, presenter, and negotiator with a history of building strong, lasting, business relationships.
  • You are well-organized, accountable, and skilled at managing time and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment with a team-focused mindset.
  • You live in or would relocate to the Annapolis Valley, NS; have a valid driver’s license; access to a vehicle; and valid vehicle insurance.
