Stingray has an exciting opportunity for an EET / Broadcast Technician to work in Newfoundland and Labrador, based out of St. John’s.

Your day-to-day

  • Repair and maintenance duties for our various studio and transmitter facilities
  • Maintenance, repair and installation of audio and transmission equipment
  • Maintenance of audio-related computer equipment and associated servers/networks
  • Troubleshooting and/or repairing building systems
  • After-hours on-call duties as required
  • Travel within a specified region to assist with tower maintenance and/or station maintenance requirements

Your qualifications

  • Post-secondary school graduate from a recognized technical institute in electronics (specialization in RF would be an asset)
  • Knowledge and experience with FM and AM transmission systems preferred
  • Experience with Wide Orbit Automation and Axia Audio systems preferred
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Mature, calm and professional manner
  • Able to take instruction with ease; willing to learn
  • Proven display of initiative
  • A valid driver’s license (abstract may be required)
