Live anywhere in Canada where Stingray has a station – and be on THREE major market stations! We are currently looking for an On-Air Host to join our Country and HOT AC team for a Maternity Leave. This position reports to the Program Directors for the respective markets/formats.
In this role, you will be responsible for the midday show at Z95.3 in Vancouver, the midday show for 90.3 AMP Radio in Calgary, and drive show for New Country 93.5. If you are an organized, creative, hard-working broadcaster who loves a challenge, we want to hear from you!
Your day-to-day
- Host the mid-day show on Z95.3 Vancouver from 9am-2pm Pacific each weekday.
- Host the mid-day show on 90.3 AMP Radio Calgary from 9am-2pm Mountain each weekday.
- Host the afternoon show on New Country 93.5 Toronto from 3pm-7pm Eastern each weekday.
- Creatively balance all three shows with voice-tracks, live breaks, and live contesting.
- Collaborate with the Vancouver, Calgary and Toronto on-air teams on content and execution.
- Prepare content, conducting research, pre/post show production and topic selection.
- Maintaining and improving upon each Station’s ratings position in the market.
- Ensuring each program retains high entertainment & production values, stays relevant & topical and focused on the targeted demographics.
- Work collaboratively with other members of the programming teams and the Program Directors.
- Contribution to digital content including without limitation – website content and social media platforms.
- Attend creative product meetings for each format weekly.
- Voicing commercials or promos as required.
- Other reasonable duties as directed by the Program Directors.
Your qualifications
- You have a minimum of three years major market radio experience
- You bring an infectious enthusiasm to work every day both on and off the air.
- You work the phones and social media like a fiend.
- You believe that your best work comes when you collaborate with other brilliant people.
- Your show-prep filter is locked in the On-Position.
- You have an authentic passion for storytelling – sharing your own stories and amplifying the stories of those around you.
- You are extremely comfortable operating a board, as well as Wide Orbit and VoxPro.
- You love brainstorming new and exciting ideas for promos, bits, imaging and more!
- You crave feedback and turn ideas into actions.
- You work well under pressure and react swiftly and with style.
