Our development team is currently looking for a Senior software developer to join the Stingray Asset Management development team and work in an ecosystem of micro-services that supports our multimedia data platform. We are responsible for managing the metadata and media files of hundreds of thousands of concerts, music videos, karaoke songs, and millions of songs across thousands of linear channels, 3rd party video-on-demand platforms and Stingray’s own apps. We are looking for smart, curious, and multi-talented people who want to create robust, scalable, and innovative systems to help us build this platform that keeps growing every day.

Your day-to-day

  • Participate actively in the elaboration and design of the core and operational business systems.
  • Design and implement software functionalities related to our homegrown asset management platform.
  • Develop in a microservice based environment.
  • Improve solution scalability, robustness, and performance.
  • Propose solutions to improve our micro-service monitoring platform and participate in the analysis and development of technical and business-oriented metrics.
  • Contribute to develop highly reusable framework and platform architecture patterns.

Your qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields
  • Advanced knowledge of the Java programming language
  • Experience developing RESTful APIs
  • Experience developing highly multithreaded and scalable systems in micro-service or service-oriented architecture
  • Knowledge of database technologies (MySQL or similar, mongoDB, Elastic Search, Redis or similar)
  • Experience developing live production systems with data driven monitoring features (metrics, alerts)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and French

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of Amazon AWS (EC2, S3) environments.
  • Knowledge of Windows and Linux environments.
  • Experience with Jenkins, Maven, Kubernetes, Docker
  • Knowledge of Python and deep learning frameworks (Keras, fast.ai)
