We are currently looking for an R&D Project Manager / Team Lead to join our Chatter Research team. This position reports to the Director of Software Development, Apps Unit. Chatter Research is a cutting-edge B2B Customer Insight and Customer Engagement Software as a Service (SaaS) that specializes in free text conversation analysis. Chatter also provides communication features (SMS, MMS).
This role is customer-facing and involves working with the sales and product team to analyze requirements and onboard new clients. The ideal candidate will take over parts of Project Management, Team Management, Software Architecture, and interact daily with product, sales and clients. Our software is evolving rapidly to provide text analytics solutions using generative AI and expand our messaging features.

Your day-to-day
- Software Development: Collaborate with the development team to implement, maintain and deploy new features
- Customer Onboarding: Facilitate the onboarding process for new clients, ensuring a smooth transition and integration
- Product Development Planning: Collaborate with the Product Team to define product requirements, roadmaps, and development cycles
- Project Management: Oversee project timelines, deliverables, and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
- Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of software developers, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment
- Solution Architecture: Design and implement scalable and robust software solutions in collaboration with the development team and Stingray’s principal architect
- Technical Client Solution Management: Act as the technical point of contact for clients, addressing their needs and ensuring their satisfaction
- Rapid Development: Drive rapid development cycles and maintain start-up speed to deliver innovative solutions quickly
Requirements
- Technical Expertise: Strong technical background with experience in software development
- Leadership Skills: Proven experience in leading and managing a software development team
- Project Management: Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Customer-Facing Experience: Excellent communication skills and experience in a technical customer-facing role
- Solution Architecture: Experience in designing and implementing software solutions
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Adaptability: Comfortable in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment
Your qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer sciences or equivalent
- 7+ years of software development experience
- Leadership experience with agile development methodologies
- Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented software design principles
- Strong interest in artificial intelligence and its applications. Knowledge of generative AI development
- Experience with Python and Django (or the desire to learn!)
- Experience with relational databases
- Strong problem-solving skills and intellectual curiosity
- Excellent communication (French and English) and teamwork abilities
- Comfortable in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment
- Ability to work in the office 4-5 days a week
Nice-to-haves
- Familiarity with Ruby on Rails is a plus
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure
- Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
- Knowledge of Big Data and Data Engineering frameworks: Apache Beam, Google Cloud Data Flow, Google Big Query
- Basic knowledge of telecom architecture and concepts from the perspective of an independent software vendor (ISV). Experience with Twilio APIs
- Knowledge of customer service, and customer experience in the retail industry
