Stingray has a rare opportunity for a talented, experienced individual to lead Stingray Radio’s sales operations in the GTA.

Based in Toronto, you will lead an award-winning sales team and manage Stingray Radio’s GTA sales efforts across radio, digital and retail media platforms. These ever-evolving platforms currently include: radio advertising for our two Toronto stations and Stingray’s 100 stations across Canada; digital advertising for our full suite of products including SEM, Programmatic (Display, Video, Audio), YouTube, Digital Out of Home, Streaming, Social Platforms and Podcasts; digital marketing for our suite of services including Social Content Development, SEO and Web Development; and retail media (audio and video) advertising across our expanding national retail network.

Your day-to-day

  • Developing and leading an engaging sales culture, managing and motivating sales team members by demonstrating positive team leadership
  • Achieving monthly, quarterly and annual broadcast, digital and retail media revenue goals
  • Coaching, mentoring and developing the local sales team to ensure it is at full strength and performing at a high level
  • Collaborating with sales team on client projects including strategic planning, ideation and participation in meetings
  • Managing product inventory, establishing pricing, developing sales collateral, creating sales packages and developing sales initiatives
  • Recruiting and retaining high caliber sales talent
  • Bringing an innovative approach to established and proven sales operating models, exploring new revenue generating ideas
  • Leading the development of the Strategic Plan for the GTA sales operation and executing annual business plans
  • Interacting with station management and corporate leadership to examine best practices and implement initiatives to improve sales
  • Managing the relationships between programming, promotions and the sales department in order to realize revenue targets
  • Managing the operation’s sales funnel though the CRM, holding the team accountable for activity management
  • Managing operational sales processes, while providing regular reporting on sales activity, pending, forecasting, pacing and other metrics as required
  • Developing and managing sales expense budgets with the goal of maximizing EBITDA performance

Your qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Media or related field preferred
  • 5+ years of progressive management experience in sales and/or general management
  • Prior experience as a Sales Manager within media advertising industry is preferred
  • Experience in broadcast sales, digital sales and/or retail media sales
  • Experience driving prospecting activity and new business development while growing revenues from existing client base
  • Fiercely competitive, results focused, and action oriented with a deep sense of accountability
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks concurrently with strong organizational skills
  • Experience working in a fast paced, high-change environment, directing a diverse team dynamic
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with an ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees and management to maximize performance
  • Excellent community relations, interpersonal and leadership skills with a strong executive presence
  • Proven ability to hire, develop and retain high caliber talent to ensure deep bench strength
