Our Mexico Regional team is currently looking for a Finance Manager.

Reporting to the Controller and/or VP Finance of Stingray Business based in Montreal (Canada), the Financial Manager will oversee the daily financial operations of Stingray Mexico and will be responsible to provide detailed reporting of the financial activities to the Finance team in Montreal, on a regular basis. This support will mainly consist of overseeing and completing the full month-end process cycle, information analyses (e.g. current processes, actual performance vs. budget and prior year, etc.), preparation of operational data/analyses for various constituents throughout the company (profitability on projects, analysis of recurring revenue, etc.). Primary responsibilities will also include, but are not limited to, assisting Finance team during the Monthly Finance Review, identification of areas for cost reductions and operational improvements, annual budget process, periodic forecasting, and periodic analysis of financial performance.

Your day-to-day

  • Supervision of a team of accounting technicians (2-3)
  • Responsible of the complete month-end process and reporting to Finance team in Montreal, on a monthly basis
  • Prepare and circulate monthly revenue analyses (compared to budget, previous month, forecast, etc.)
  • Prepare the quarterly revenue forecasts
  • Participate in the annual budget process
  • Understand and Supervise the Billing process to customers
  • Understand and Supervise the Payables processes (including managing the approval of PO’s, etc.)
  • Manage the collection of receivables
  • Ensure the accuracy of agings and supporting schedules to the balance sheet accounts (AR, AP, Prepaids, Accruals, Fixed Assets, etc.)
  • Ensure accuracy of transactions in the local accounting system, and communicate pertinent financial information to the Finance team in Montreal
  • Oversee the contract management process and ensure its efficiency
  • Perform the payroll process, including the calculation and payment social securities as per local regulations
  • Participate in the preparation and distribution of income tax as per local regulations
  • Participate in the annual audit and statutory audits
  • Ensure appropriate filing and archiving of documentation
  • Perform ad hoc analysis

Your qualifications

  • Accounting or administrative degree
  • At least 3-5 years of experiencein a similar role, including:
    • Knowledge of the complete accounting cycle (Receivables, Payables, Payroll, Financial Statements, Variance analysis, etc.)
    • Supervision of a team of at least 2-3 people
  • Fully Bilingual (Spanish and English)
  • Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines

  • Have a flare for numbers and have a very positive work attitude
  • Advanced Excel skills, ability to work with lookups and pivot tables

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
