We are looking for a full-time Backend Developer to join our Chatter team. Chatter Research is a cutting-edge B2B Customer Insight and Customer Engagement Software as a Service (SaaS) that specializes in free text conversation analysis. This position reports to the Head of Software Development – Media Management Client Solutions.

Your day-to-day
- Build our new conversation analysis platform leveraging the latest possibilities that Large Language Models created, primarily using Python and Django
- Participate and take a leading role in software architecture discussions to build a high performance, scalable backend
- Evolve, maintain, and support our existing platform written in Ruby on Rails
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
Your qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer sciences or equivalent
- 4+ years of backend development experience
- Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented software design principles
- Knowledge of Python (or the desire to learn!)
- Experience with relational databases
- Strong problem-solving skills and intellectual curiosity
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Interest in artificial intelligence and its applications

- Comfortable in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with OpenAI API (or similar) and LangChain
- Familiarity with Ruby on Rails is a plus
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure
- Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
- Knowledge of Big Data and Data Engineering frameworks: Apache Beam, Google Cloud Data Flow, Google Big Query
- Basic knowledge of telecom architecture and concepts
